During the winter months we receive powerful storms that produce dream like waves. These storms originate from the Aleutian Islands, starting off by disorganized hurricane forced wind, generating stormy swells. Over days and weeks these wind storms form into groomed long period swells pushing across the pacific, eventually reaching the North Shore of Oahu.
This image was photographed at one of my favorite outer reef waves. The Blue Dream, a dream that became reality.
